Kairi Consultants Limited was formed in 1990 and became a limited liability company in 1992 under the laws of Trinidad and Tobago. The company operates from its headquarters in Tunapuna, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies. Its guiding principle is to provide the best services available to its clientele by tapping the most qualified specialists in the areas of its clients’ needs.

The firm offers consultancy services for research and management of all projects related to the development process. Its particular areas of expertise include Social Sector Development, Environment and Natural Resource Management, Agriculture, Human Resource Development, Training/Education, Finance and Investment, and International Trade. In these areas, it can handle both small- and large-scale projects.

Given the dynamic nature of the development process, the firm’s services also include on-the-site, interactive approaches in promoting development, mainly in the form of training programmes, seminars and workshops, in its various areas of expertise.

Hence, the major function of Kairi Consultants Limited is to provide technical assistance to organisations and to developing countries using an integrated and/or multi-disciplinary approach.

The organisational structure of the firm is based on a system of principal and associate membership. The principal members of Kairi Consultants Limited form the managerial Board of Directors. This Board is made up of experienced professionals from varied fields. However, their experience and expertise go beyond their university training and other academic endeavours. At one time or another (and even currently), they have either worked in the public and private sectors in the Caribbean or have been attached as consultants to, or employees of, major Caribbean and/or international organisations. They are well placed to access the latest in research and technological advances. They also have the experience of adapting these advances to local conditions thereby creating an unbeatable blend between knowledge and expertise.

Kairi Consultants Limited also has a growing list of committed associate members and associate companies. Their expertise and knowledge complement that of the core group, which manages all projects undertaken.

The key personnel of Kairi Consultants Limited have undertaken many projects in Caribbean countries, which range from high to low income developing nations. Some have also worked outside the region in countries of Latin America, Western Europe, Africa, Asia and the Pacific. Thus, the firm is confident that it can effectively provide its expertise to all parts of the developing world and in particular, the Caribbean.
